Join PlanBørnefonden as a student assistant or intern

At PlanBørnefonden, we greatly value our students from various educational backgrounds and nationalities.

As a student assistant or intern at PlanBørnefonden, you will gain experience within your field of study while contributing to our mission of creating a better future for children and young people. We do this through our sponsorship programs and development projects, which are supported by private foundations, institutional donors, and corporate partners. Some of our partners include the LEGO Foundation, DANIDA, Nature Planet, and Søstrene Grene. You can read more about our partnerships here.

As a student assistant, you will work an average of 15 hours per week. It’s important to us that you have time for your studies and space for activities in your free time. That’s why we offer a high degree of flexibility—if you need to reduce your hours during exam periods or increase them at other times, we’ll work with you to make that possible. The same flexibility applies during internships.

Your tasks will vary depending on your educational background and the department you join. What they all have in common is that you’ll be given responsibility and room to grow. We believe in you and expect you to help find the best solutions in collaboration with the rest of the organization.

When we have available student assistant or internship positions, you’ll find them listed on our career site under Career at PlanBornefonden. We also share job postings with various universities and faculties. You’re welcome to sign up for our job agent and get notified when we post new positions in our departments.

Internships

At PlanBørnefonden, we look for new interns twice a year in connection with the start of the spring and autumn semesters at universities. Internship periods begin in February and September. This also means you’ll typically start alongside a group of other interns and students.

As an intern at PlanBørnefonden, you’ll get hands-on experience with specific tasks and projects. You’ll be responsible for your own assignments and deadlines, and you’ll be assigned a mentor who will support you throughout the internship and act as a sounding board for both your daily tasks and your internship report.

If you're interested in doing an internship as part of your studies, you’re welcome to apply when we advertise open internship positions. You can also create a job agent on our career site to be notified when we post new opportunities.

Student Network

All student assistants and interns become part of PlanBørnefonden’s Student Network, which includes students from various academic disciplines and departments across the organization. The purpose of the network is to bring students together in a professional and social community. We believe there is a wealth of knowledge and inspiration to be found among our students.

Our ambition is to gather students several times a year for both professional and social events. These might include lunch meetings, sports activities, or talks from internal and external speakers.
